Installing IMSMA Remote Entry

Represents a tip or note for using IMSMA. The target computer should have Java ™ 6 installed.

The target computer should use one of the following Internet browsers:

  • Windows Internet Explorer ® 7 or newer
  • Mozilla Firefox ® 4 or newer
  • Google Chrome 12.0.742 or newer
  1. Copy and paste the IMSMA Remote Entry (RE) installation program into the local file system.
  2. Right-click the install.exe file and select Run as administrator.
    • Click Allow if the User Account Control dialog box displays.
      A progress bar displays while data is extracted from the file.
Represents a tip or note for using IMSMA. On Windows XP, double-click the install.exe file to run the file.
  1. Click Next in the Installation dialog box.
  2. Select the I accept the terms of this license agreement option, and then click Next.
  3. Click Next to select the default installation path, or select a new home directory to install IMSMA RE.

  7. Run IMSMA RE by right-clicking the IMSMA Remote Entry shortcut on the desktop, and then selecting Run as administrator.

Uninstalling IMSMA Remote Entry

Represents a tip or note for using IMSMA. Back up any auxiliary data, field reports, and field report templates that you want to keep before uninstalling IMSMA RE.
  1. From the Windows Start menu, click IMSMA Remote Entry, and then click Uninstall IMSMA Remote Entry.
    • Click Continue if the User Account Control dialog box displays.
  2. In the Uninstaller dialog box:
    1. Select the Force the deletion of c:\IMSMARE option.
    2. Click Uninstall.
    3. The operation is complete when the progress bar finishes.
  3. Click Quit.
