Subobjects are subcategories within certain IMSMA items. Subobjects are normally displayed in table format. For example, the item Hazard includes the subobject Munitions, which displays in the Munitions table of a field report and on the item’s current view. You can run searches for these subobjects as you can for any other data in IMSMA.

You can search for the following subobjects:

Adding Subobject Criteria
To add a subobject criteria to a search:
- Click the button to add an attribute to an existing search definition.
- From the attribute list, select a valid subobject.
- SubObject displays in the operator list and is the only available option.
- Click the button.
- In the SubObject Search(Add) window, the Parent field displays the object, and the Search Target field displays the subobject.
- Select a condition (ANY or ALL) from the list in the search pane. For more information, refer to Any Versus All.
- Click the button.
- The search criteria displays in the subobject search pane.
- Select an option from the attribute list.
- Select an option from the operator list.
- Enter a value in the text field, or click the Options button to select from a list of pre-defined values.
- Click the OK button.
- The subobject search criteria display in the search pane of the Search(Add) window.
