If you remove a data category, any item attributes in the data category will be moved to the ''Uncategorized'' data category.
To remove a data category:
<ol>
<li>From the left pane of the Data Inventory Manager window, select the data category that you would like to remove.</li>
<li>From the left pane, click the [[File:LightBulb.png|20px|<span title=""></span>]][[File:Remove.png|20px|<span title=""></span>]] button.</li>
The data category is removed and any item attributes that were in the data category are moved to the ''Uncategorised'' data category.
