A map Layout includes any shapes, text, page setup options, images, scale bar, north indicator, or legend that you have added to the map Layout. To save a Layout:

  1. Click the SaveMapLayIcon.png button on the Map Layout toolbar.
  2. The Save window displays.

  3. From the Save window:
    1. Change file type to All files.
    2. Navigate to the directory where you would like to save the Layout.
    3. Enter a name for the Layout (e.g. MyLayout.mxd) in the File Name field.
    4. Click the Save button.
