The following procedure allows you to translate the custom defined field (CDF) label that displays in the data entry form. It also allows you to translate the list values for multiple-selection and single-selection lists.

  1. From the Customisation menu, select Data Inventory Manager.

  3. In the left pane of the Data Inventory Manager window, select the data category that contains the CDF you would like to translate.
  4. In the right pane of the Data Inventory Manager, click the row of the custom defined field that you would like to translate.
  5. Click the FieldViewIcon.png button.

  7. The CDF editor looks different depending on data type.
  8. Click the Translate button.
  9. Select the language for which you would like to provide a translation from the list.

  10. Click the row of the term that you would like to translate.
  11. Click the FieldViewIcon.png button.

  12. If you would like the translation to be used for all fields that have the enumeration value, enter the translation in Global Translation field.
  13. If you would like the translation to be used for only this field, enter the translation in Field Translation field.
  14. Click the Save button.
