To add a local ID type:

1. From the Customisation menu, select Field Reports.
2. From the Field Reports menu, select Local ID Type.

The Local ID Type window displays.

3. Click the File:Add.png button.

The Local ID Type window displays (Figure 166).

4. Enter the name for the new local ID type in the Name field.

The figure below provides an example naming convention for local IDs.

5. In the Next Number field, enter the number you want to assign to the next object of that type that is added to IMSMA. IMSMA will automatically assign the next sequential number to each subsequent object of the same type that is added to IMSMA. See Table 49 for an example of how local IDs are assigned.

6. Click the Save button.

   If you do not want to save the local ID type, click the Cancel button.

7. Click the Done button to close the Local ID Type window and return to the IMSMA Navigation window.
