Deleting a role removes the role from IMSMA. A role cannot be removed if users are assigned to use the role.

Note.jpg Although the permissions assigned to the default roles can be changed, be careful not to remove the User Admin or Role Admin permissions from the Operations role without first having those permissions assigned to another role. If the User Admin or Role Admin permissions are not assigned to a role, it will not be possible to add, change, or remove IMSMA users and roles.

To remove a Role:

  1. From the Accounts menu select Roles.
  2. The Role List window displays.
  3. Click the name of the role you would like to remove.
  4. Click the 20px button.
Note.jpg Be aware that the imsma user is assigned the four default roles.
If the role is not in use, the Verify Role Deletion window displays. To continue deleting the role, click the Yes button; otherwise, click the No button.
Warning.jpg The following error message indicates that the role is assigned to a user.
The role is assigned to a user and cannot be deleted.

Click the OK button. If you would like to remove the role, you will first need to remove the role from the users who are currently using it.
