Note.jpg To add an organisation, you must have read and write access to the Organisation permission.

To add an organisation to IMSMA:

  1. From the Data Entry menu, select Organisations.
  2. The Organisation List window displays.
  3. Click the FieldTemplateIcon.png button.
  4. The Organisation Editor window displays.

  1. Enter the National identifier or other identification number for the organisation in the Organisation ID field.
  2. Enter the organisation name in the Organisation Name field.
  3. If the organisation has a parent organisation, click the File:UserManual ParentOrganisationsIcon.png button to select the parent organisation.
  4. Select the organisation type from the Category list.
  5. If the organisation is active, check the Active checkbox. Only active organisations are listed in the Organisation Selection window.
  6. If there are any fields in the Custom Defined Fields section, enter data in those fields.
  7. Click the Location tab.
  8. Enter the address of the organisation in the Address field.
  9. Select the operational area of the organisation:
    1. Click the button beside the Country Structure Reference field.
    2. The Country Structure Selection window displays.
    3. Click the country structure area that is the operational area of the organisation.
    4. Click the Select button.
    5. The name of the country structure that you selected displays in the Country Structure Reference field.
  10. Select the coordinate reference system that you would like to use from the Coordinate System list.
  11. Select the coordinate format from the Coordinate Format list.

    2. Enter the phone number for the contact in the Phone field.
    3. Enter the fax number for the contact in the Fax field.
    4. Enter the mobile phone number for the contact in the Mobile field.
    5. Enter any other number for the contact in the Other field.
    6. Enter the radio number for the contact in the Radio field.
    7. Enter an e-mail address for the contact in the Email field.
    8. Enter a URL for the contact in the URL field.
  1. Click the Competencies tab and enter the competencies data:
    1. Click the File:UserManual CreateIcon.png button.
    2. A new row is added to the Competencies table.
    3. Click the Type column of the new row that was added.
    4. A list of competencies displays.

    2. Click the Status column of the new row that was added.
    3. Select the status from the list.
  1. Do one of the following:
    • To save the data you have entered for the organisation, click the Save button.
    • To discard the organisation data and close the Organisation Editor window, click the Cancel button.
