It seems like starting from ArcGIS 10.4 that there are problems activating the ArcEngine 10.1 with the ArcAdministrator.:[[Image:ArcGIS administrator 10 5.png|300px]]<br>The 10.1 pane in the ArcAdministrator is empty and it is not possible to select ''ArcGISEngine (Single Use)''.<br>The work-around is to update a registry key.:[[Image:ArcEngine reg key.png|500px]]<br>Update ''SEAT_PREFERENCE_ENGINE'' to ''Fixed''. <u>The last resort when nothing of the above works</u><br>If you did not get it to work then you have to:# Uninstall ArcGIS 10.2 x and {{IMSMANG}}
