Templates are used to give standard messages on Pages. Templates are called using these brackets {{template name}}. There are many purposes for using templates. They can be to convey or format messages to the reader of the Page, they can be used to facilitate navigation, or they can be used to convey messages or to flag pages to the editors.
Informative templates
Notes
Every page that is linked to a note should use the Note template. A Note is used to convey reference information that is useful but not critical to a task. Users can add it in the corresponding place of the page using the following command:

Warnings
Every page that is linked to a warning should use the Warning template. A Warning is used whenever non-compliance would result in the failure of a task. Users can add it in the corresponding place of the page using the following command:

Every page that is linked to a new functionality should use the New functionality template. Users can add it in the corresponding place of the page using the following command:

Maintenance templates
- Template:Protection: This template should only be used on pages after they have been protected by an administrator, and may be removed when the protection has expired. Editors can add it in the corresponding place of the page using the following command: {{Protection| Text should be placed here}}

Formatting templates
IMSMANG
Every page that uses the word IMSMA or IMSMANG when refering to the IMSMANG application or software or suite should use the IMSMANG template. Editors should use this template even if it is done using IMSMA<sup>NG</sup>. Editors can add it in the corresponding place of the page using the following command:

TOC
Per default the Table of Contents (TOC) on a page are placed to the left of the Page. If the editor prefers the TOC to the right, the TOC template is used. Editors can add it in the corresponding place of the page using the following command:

Navigation templates
On IMSMA Wiki, a navbox is a template that lists at least several pages that are related. The relationship between all the pages in a single navbox is such that the reader of the current page will be readily referred to other related material with a single link. The goal is to have a navbox in every page (bottom).
