Add a Scale Indicator to the Map Page Layout

To add a scale bar to the page layout, click the button.

On the page layout displayed in the map pane, click where you would like to put the scale indicator, hold down the left mouse button, and drag it to the size desired.

Release the left mouse button and the scale indicator will display.
