===How to apply a template===
<p>Map layout templates include any shapes, images, text, page setup options, scale bar, north indicator, and legend that you have added to the map view. You can apply a saved template to the map that you have displayed.</p>
<p>To apply a template to the current map display:</p>

<p>The legend themes pane is located on the right side of the Legend Editor window and displays the themes that you would like to include in the legend, the title of the legend, and buttons for adding or removing themes from the legend.</p>
<p>The legend layout pane is located at the bottom of the Legend Editor window. This pane allows you to preview the contents of the legend before they are applied to the page layout.</p>

To add a legend to the page layout:

<li>Enable the themes that you want displayed in the legend.</li>

===How to enable a theme===
<p>Themes control the icons that are displayed on the map. The themes available in the Legend Editor window are identical to the themes in the Theme Manager window and are organised in a tree format. If the checkbox to the left of the theme name is checked ([[Image:CheckedBoxIcon.png]]), the theme displays on the map. If the checkbox to the left of the theme name is unchecked ([[Image:UncheckedBoxIcon.png]]), the theme will not display on the map.</p>
<p>To enable a theme, check the checkbox beside the theme name in the theme manager pane of the Legend Editor window.</p>

How to change the text display of a legend entry
To change the text display of a legend entry:

<li>Select the legend entry from the Legend Themes pane.</li>
<li>Click the [[Image:LegThemePn.png]] button.</li>
:The Font Selection window displays.
<li>Change the text properties as needed.</li>
<li>Click the OK button.</li>

How to remove a theme from the legend
If you disable a theme, the theme is automatically removed from the legend. However, you can remove a theme from the legend while keeping the theme enabled. To remove an enabled theme from the legend:

<li>From the Legend Themes pane, select the theme that you would like to remove.</li>
<li>Click the [[Image:RemThemeLeg.png]] button.</li>
:The theme is removed from the legend, but its icon still displays on the map.
