'''Templates''' are used to give standard messages on Pages. Templates are called using these brackets <nowiki>{{template name}}</nowiki>. There are many purposes for using templates. They can be to convey or format messages to the reader of the Page, they can be used to facilitate navigation, or they can be used to convey messages or to flag pages to the editors.
==Informative templates==__NOEDITSECTION__===Notes===__NOEDITSECTION__
Every page that is linked to a note should use the [[Template:Note|Note template]]. Editors can add it in the corresponding place of the page using the following command:
<nowiki>{{Note | Text should be placed here}}</nowiki>
{{Note | Text should be placed here}}
===Warnings===__NOEDITSECTION__
Every page that is linked to a warning should use the [[Template:Warning|Warning template]]. Users can add it in the corresponding place of the page using the following command:
<nowiki>{{Warning| Text should be placed here}}</nowiki>
{{Warning| Text should be placed here}}
==Maintenance templates==__NOEDITSECTION__
* [[Template:Protection]]: This template should only be used on pages after they have been protected by an administrator, and may be removed when the protection has expired. Editors can add it in the corresponding place of the page using the following command: <nowiki>{{Protection| Text should be placed here}}</nowiki>
{{Images| Text should be placed here}}
==Formatting templates==__NOEDITSECTION__==={{IMSMANG}}===__NOEDITSECTION__
Every page that uses the word IMSMA or {{IMSMANG}} ''when refering to the {{IMSMANG}} application or software or suite'' should use the [[Template:IMSMANG|IMSMANG template]]. Editors should use this template even if it is done using <nowiki>IMSMANG</nowiki>. Editors can add it in the corresponding place of the page using the following command:
<nowiki>{{IMSMANG}}</nowiki>
===TOC===__NOEDITSECTION__
Per default the Table of Contents (TOC) on a page are placed to the left of the Page. If the editor prefers the TOC to the right, the [[Template:TOC right|TOC template]] is used. Editors can add it in the corresponding place of the page using the following command:
<nowiki>{{TOC right}}</nowiki>
==Navigation templates==__NOEDITSECTION__
On IMSMA Wiki, a navbox is a template that lists at least several pages that are related. The relationship between all the pages in a single navbox is such that the reader of the current page will be readily referred to other related material with a single link. The goal is to have a navbox in every page (bottom).
